Strength "anew":

Scripture promises a second wind for those who learn to wait on God in patient, hopeful, and dependent expectation. God does not often relieve us of a particular race or struggle, but he will infuse us with his trength to finish the course. 

Hebrews 13:5 
. . . For God has said, "I will never fail you.  I will never forsake you."

When you feel like giving up, go to the source of all strength and wait for his second wind. 

Sometimes it is all I can do just to keep going when things in life are pressing in around me.  I often find myself in that desperate place; being torn between giving up my selfish pride and letting GOD handle the situation or holding onto my stubborn will and "stickin' it to em."  Sadly, I have often held onto my stubborn will, and the end result ALWAYS left me with some form of heartache.  
I have learned that when the Devil presses in on me and tries to make me fall to run straight into the safety of my Jesus' arms and let him be my Champion.  

Today, as you go about your life, take time to sit down and talk with Jesus. His greatest desire outside of calling you his child and being your personal Savior is to have a personal relationship with you.  He will NEVER leave you NOR will he EVER forsake you.  :) God's desire for a relationship is so strong that he will go to ANY length to have that relationship.  He never forces us into submission because He LOVES us enough to give us the FREE WILL to choose for ourselves, but he will be a constant reminder always nudging you and pleading with you.  
A relationship takes work, and a personal relationship with GOD is THE most important relationship anyone could ever have.  
I will admit, my personal relationship with God isn't as important as it should be and that shames me.  What can I do about it? I can let go of the things that are holding me back and give in to the freedom that a personal relationship with God gives.

I have a two year old little girl.  As par for the course with her comes discipline.  She knows right & wrong, but not always does she understand the consequences of her actions.  It is my job as her mother to not only set the example for her to follow, but to help her to understand the things she does and the consequences (good & bad) for her actions.  
In just the same way, God loves me.  Though I am human and though I am his creation and his child, I fight a spiritual warfare daily.  Yes, Jesus is my Savior, however this does not mean that I am perfect.... the bible plainly says that ONLY Jesus is holy and without any sin.
Sometimes, the world around me becomes the world in front of me and God has to use things in my life to teach me to keep HIM before me as my focus.
The past few weeks/months I have been frustrated with a particular person (and yes, some of you know who this person is, but bear with me here).  So-much-so that I have let my frustration and angst become a driving force behind my thoughts toward that person.  Today, God reminded me in his EVER LOVING and WONDERFULLY GENTLE way . . .

"A fool gives full vent to anger, but a wise person quietly holds back." ~Prov. 29:11

"You must accept whatever situation the Lord has put you in , and continue on as you were when God first called you." ~1 Cor. 7:17

"...But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into place." ~Luke 11:28

 A few weeks back I made a commitment to God that I would pray for those around me . . . and the Devil has done (and succeeded) his absolute best to keep me from that commitment.  See, I fail. I am human. No excuse.  God loved, prayed for, and helped all those who cursed him, persecuted him, and hated him.  He is the ultimate HERO, not just because he willingly gave himself in our place of punishment, but because he has never once resented us for the choice he made.  We have disappointed him with our choices, hurt him with our words and failed him with our mistakes, yet he has never stopped loving us.  

Luke 14:26-30 quite plainly explains what happens when we make a commitment and don't stop to take into consideration the facts or the sacrifices that will be required of us.  

"Christ must become the central and dominating commitment of our lives, and all other loves must take place through him." 

Plainly I will admit that I have been that "fool" in Proverbs . . . yet the difference between myself and that fool is that I am willing to change.  

Lord,
Thank you for not giving up on me.  Your sacrifice on the Cross is one that I will never be able to repay, but it is also no excuse for me to just go about in my own way and ignore the commandments that you have given to those who call you Savior.  Please forgive me for letting the things of this earth become THE things of my world.  Thank you for your ever limitless mercy and forgiveness. Please help me today to be a beacon of light that is nothing short of a reflection of You.  I love you Lord!

Awake at 3:00am and ORGANIZING:

So, this morning I woke up at 3:00 AM and found that I was completely UNABLE to fall back to sleep.... I decided to surf

and I discovered TONS of organization ideas . . . so I got my crafting/organizing bug on and organized Klara's dresser drawers. :D

 

 

 shoes have been sorted out, ones that no longer fit are in the give-away/yard sale bin, and the left-over shoes are nice and organized. :D Yay ME!

 

 

 

 

 

sock drawer/tights/big girl undies for the potty traning days ahead . . . :D 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

. . . pajama drawer . . . in the box are the jammies that are too warm to wear right now, but with Memphis weather, YOU  NEVER KNOW!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 . . . shirt drawer. . . on one side are the long-sleeved shirts and on the other are the short-sleeved shirts. :D

OH YEA!!! BUT, I didn't stop there . . .

 

 

recovered a diaper box with brown paper and organized my shelf in the bathroom . . . what, WHAT?!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

recovered a small box, used it for my medicine and used Klara's bucket from Easter last year for hers. . . then FINALLY filled the canisters I bought AND put tags on them!!!! :D :D

Another day at the grind & a recap of the crying sweat:

I was too tired last night to update how my second exercise night went.... I didn't end up exercising until 10:00-ish, and didn't get to bed until 11:45! (for me that is LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!!!) 

Anyway, RECAP:

in other news, I was getting my things together to take a shower and ran into Klara's little rocking chair. . . . 

that bruise in the middle of my foot is where the rocking part of her chair decided to make its temporary home. . . and I couldn't put any weight on the ball of my foot all night long. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, I have lost 3lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D YAY ME!!!!!!!!!!! My goal: 15lbs.  My next goal: 30lbs.  My long-term goal: 60lbs!!!!  I CAN DO IT!

Morning blah's:

I wake up this morning, look at my phone, and wish that I could go back to sleep.  Just as I decided to sleep for a "few" more minutes, my pookie texted me and asked if I was exercising . . . *sigh* I got up and did a ten minute routine:

10 jumping jacks
10 crunches
10 lunges
10 tricep dips
(repeat 3 times)

took a shower, then got online and listened to Adventures in Odyssey.  I love that audio show. :)

Since then I have been loafing around . . . now I must get myself dressed, wake the little miss, get her dressed & fed, and off to work for the both of us. :)

"Sweat is fat CRYING!!!"

I haven't posted an update in a while, a fact that my loving pookie mentioned to me a few weeks ago.  So, here I am, posting an update.  

Motivation comes in all sorts of different packages, my motivation for losing 30lbs by July is a personal one that may (about 15lbs from now) come to fruition soooooooon. So, today my pookie tells me that in order to help me be super duper motivated to lose this weight, he will give me a reason . . . and he did.  :D It worked too . . . and then I decided to do my first workout tonight.  

I. Almost. DIED!!!!! Recently, my sister (Bethanie) bought a WII, and a few games to go with it.  Wii Active 2 is one of them.  I used the aforementioned program as my exercise routine tonight. . . HOLY COW! I hurt, I wheezed, I popped my ankle and cried, but I persisted and made it through all 28 exercises and stretches.

I will be getting up at 4:00 A.M. (yes, there is such a time!) to go another round....if you hear the sounds of weeping, it may be me. lol I am going to stick to it and keep you posted my friends. :) ANY support would be appreciated. :) :)

<---- Me, about 7 exercises from being finished with my routine . . . thought I wasn't gonna make it, but I DID!!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! :)

Truths:

It has been a while since I have posted an update.  It has been a while since I've done a lot of things. 

How easy it is, as human beings, to neglect the things that matter most.  One small step is all it takes to find ourselves on the road looking back at the pits we have fallen into.   

The things we surround ourselves with have an impact on us. What we read, what we hear, what we watch.  

"Oh, be careful little eyes what you see . . . little ears what you hear . . . little feet where you go . . . little hands what you do . . . little mouth what you say . . . little heart whom you trust . . . for the FATHER up above is looking down in love so be careful little life what you do."

2:00am (yes, I did type A.M.!)

Potty training + no money for pull-ups/or/diapers + a very wet & cranky/sleepy little girl = me awake this year . . . and even after nearly two entire cups of coffee, I STILL feel as if I've been hit by a train.  However, I fully believe that God wanted me awake at this time . . . for some reason. 
Anyway, I know that right about now most people are making their "New Year's Resolutions", and most of those resolutions are last years  .  .  . lol.  However, I am trying something different in 2012. . . it's called "GOAL-REACHING."
See, I have been an independant Mary Kay consultant off-and-on (mostly off) for a while now, and just in the last two weeks my good friend, Stephanie Gilham-Delaney, has cheered me on towards reaching my goals. Last night, we had an AMAZING time just chatting, discovering ways that I can reach my goals, and understanding the process of having my own business. I'll tell ya, for a gal who isn't really that organized . . . this takes some serious organization . . . however, this year is ALL about reaching goals that I would never go for before. . . 

MY 2012 GOALS: 

1. Reaching my first goal for Mary Kay = $251.11 for my get-started-and-get-going order
2. Losing the weight I gained after Klara was born and having a healthier lifestyle = no more sugary stuff, junk foods, binge eating, or mindless snacking.  Honoring the body that God has given me is gonna be rough, but it is a goal that IS attainable and that I am going for.
3. Serving God where he has me = as a mother, a girlfriend, a sister, a daughter, an employee, a co-worker, friend, mary kay consultant . . . ect.
4. Giving once a month to someone in need = it could be monetary, prayer, food, pretty much anything.

So far, those are my goals for this year.  I'm sure there will be more added to that list, but keeping it simple is best for me.

A Year in review:

2011 was a year full of God's blessings, provision, and protection. . . 

1.  Klara turned a year old!!! Time flew by and before I was ready, my little girl wasn't a baby anymore!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. I met and fell in love with the most wonderful man. I have been so blessed to have Cavin in my life.

 

 

 

 

3. Klara burnt her hand after she decided to grab mommy's curling iron.  Needless to say, mommy was FREAKED out!!!

 

 

 

she had to wear a bandage for a while . . .

 

       which turned into her boo-boo sock buddy . . . 

 

 

 

 

 

and the blister got worse before . . . 

                    it eventually popped and healed

 . . . although Klara did pitch a fit when mommy tried to take away the candy bucket for a picture moment . . .

7.  Thanksgiving brought Old-Fashioned Sunday at church.  Klara was a little indian. :D
